Definitions

"Lessonsmith", "we", "our" and "us" refer to Lessonsmith as a business entity.

"You", "your" and "user" refer to you, the user of the Lessonsmith service.


  1. Lessonsmith Service
    Lessonsmith is an online platform on which the users can share and collaborate on lesson ideas. We have implemented a moderation mechanism and we will do our best to ensure the quality, accuracy and relevancy of content on Lessonsmith are high in standard. However, improved results in any way is not guaranteed and each user of any ideas from Lessonsmith should understand it is up to them to decide which content to use in what manner, whether it be in classroom settings or anywhere else.
  2. Agreement
    By registering and using any of the services that Lessonsmith offers, you agree to all of the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are subject to change at any time and Lessonsmith has no obligation to seek for approvals for the changes from the existing members of the service. Each time you use any of the services provided by Lessonsmith you acknowledge that you have an understanding of the most recent version of the terms and conditions of Lessonsmith.
  3. Usage
    You agree to the following each time you use the services provided by Lessonsmith:
    1. You are of a legal age in your country of residence and in the country, in which you use Lessonsmith.
    2. You have registered with correct email, first name, last name, school, professions, relevant subjects, relevant grades and any other personal information you provide us is accurate.
    3. You are not impersonating others or providing false and/or inaccurate information about yourself for any purposes under any circumstances.
    4. Ideas that you create and share, including all attachments, are free from copyright issues.
    5. Ideas that you create and share, including all attachments, are public and open. This means anyone can read your ideas, comment on your ideas, download your attachments and even create a copy of your ideas and alter them in any way.
    6. You are responsible for the actions that you take on Lessonsmith.
    7. You will not harass, abuse or annoy other members in any way. This means intimidating, spamming, impersonating, threatening other users and writing/uploading offensive materials including words, pictures, documents, videos and any other content of that nature are prohibited.
    8. You will not abuse the site in any way. This means hacking, uploading virus, spamming and performing any other harmful acts to Lessonsmith are prohibited.
    9. You will not use the Lessonsmtih services for illegal, unethical and immoral purposes.
  4. Content Control
    Lessonsmith holds the absolute right in controlling the content of its site. We may modify, censor and/or cancel the membership and/or the idea/file listings of those involved in the following:
    1. Listing of idea/file or any other content that violate any laws or regulations, including sexually explicit wordings and media.
    2. Posting inappropriate contents including words and pictures.
    3. Posting copyrighted contents.
    4. Any other actions/contents that we think to be inappropriate.
    5. Lessonsmith also holds the right to discontinue/terminate all or any of our services, refuse service to anyone and contacting the authority with the membership details in case of legal actions and/or agreement breach.
  5. Personal Information

  6. Copyright
    When you list any ideas, files, attachments, comments or any other forms of content to our site, you acknowledge that as far as you understand the posted materials are free from copyright issues and you give us the right to display such content on Lessonsmith, and also you give the right for other members to free download and branch off from your content, as per the agreement in the above term 3) Usage.

    The Lessonsmith website is original. We hold the intellectual property rights to all of the contents and the components we have created, except for the open-source components we have used. You may not copy, redistribute and/or adapt any of its components including the layout, contents, data and logic, except for the open-source components we have used, which continue to be under their original license.
  7. Fees
    Currently, Lessonsmith is in its Beta release. There is no fee involved and there is no plan to charge users for any of its services in the future. We would like to keep it this way but we disclose the possibility of unforeseen business model change in the future.
