Lessonsmith is a platform where teachers and other professionals can collaborate on lesson ideas and materials. We believe in two things: educating is a craft, and sharing ideas leads to great things.
Lessonsmith is about bringing together teachers and non-teachers alike to share ideas about classroom content. Spark a debate, post a video, share a worksheet, or describe an experience. We want you to love using our product to express your thoughts and spread your ideas about education.
Meet the Team
Lessonsmith was founded in the fall of 2011 by a group of teachers and developers with a passion for improving education through technology. We came up with Lessonsmith- a community for teachers and other professionals to share their best lessons, multimedia and more. Since we believe that collaboration is a key factor in becoming a better teacher, we've made it really easy to work together to make your lessons even better. Let us share this experience with you.
Dan Lopez
President/Founder
Dan taught Physics and Biology in Philadelphia though his involvement in Teach For America. At the same time as he was teaching, Dan received an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania. Dan's undergrad experiences at MIT gave him a deep love for all things science and technology, which he drew upon daily to inspire his students.
